The Chief IRC Operator is the lead volunteer role for the TransAdvice? Peer Support Chat (IRC). This roles responsiblites are, but are not limited to:
- Enforcing the AUP and Code of Conduct
- To facilitate the growth of The TransAdvice? Peer Support Chat
- To keep The TransAdvice? Peer Support Chat a safe space
- To act as the liason between The Foundation for Transgender Empowerment & Equality, and the TransAdvice? Chat Volunteer staff
- To be the day to day leader and coordinator of The TransAdvice? Chat and its volunteer staff
- To be on-call for The Foundation for Transgender Empowerment & Equality Board, as well as The TransAdvice? Volunteer staff
- Dealing with complaints and issues directly pertaining to the chat*
- Weekly meetings/briefings with The Foundation for Transgender Empowerment & Equality
- To be level-headed in all official capacities
- Recruiting new volunteer staff for The TransAdvice? Chat
- Removal of staff whom fail to adhere to the AUP and the Code of Conduct
