Not going to do too much here, as I don't think there's all much practical use in exploring the theories and suppositions about Gender Identity. Still, it's interesting, and some may find it useful.
- The Multi-Dimensionality Of Gender Identity -- this is a pretty thoughtful piece, providing 5 dimensions of gender, instead of the usual one dimension (male-female) and talks about being anywhere on any of these 5 dimensions.
Autogynephilia is a controversial topic in transgender circles, especially MTF transgender circles. It refers broadly to the concept that someone eroticizes themselves as a woman.
- Autogynephilia in Natal Women -- The term autogynephilia has primarily been addressed to MTF Transsexuals. Someone thought to do a comparison with natal women (i.e. women-born-women, cisfemale). As one might expect, natal women show an equal amount of autogynephilia as trans women.
- Autogynephilia: What's the big freaking deal, anyway? -- an article in trans-health that also discusses the topic of autogynephilia and it's purported "limitation" to trans women, and what it might mean in a much broader context. Also, a bit a schooling on inclusiveness of trans men in theories.
